The Bible Book Jonah - Bible study by verse and Encouragement

The Book of Jonah is an engaging four-chapter story about a reluctant prophet, a giant fish, and God's expansive, shocking grace. It serves as a "divine mirror", contrasting human prejudice and resistance with God’s limitless compassion for all people.

Jonah 2:7

Jonah 2:7
  • The person who is wise, understands, that God reacts to disobedience by making the circumstances oppose us.
  • HE KNOWS WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE A CHANGE IN OUR HEARTS AND BEHAVIORS.
  • The road we take to flee God's will will be the road we return to in repentance, because of God's intervention.

RECOGNIZE GOD'S OPPOSITION TO YOUR DISOBEDIENCE.

REPENT AND OBEY. CHANGE YOUR HEART as well as your behavior.

  • Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord; Nineveh was a great city, three days' journey (Jonah 3:3).
